Another busy week

Hello everyone. A lot has happened in the last week. On Tuesday I went to the doctor for my 6 month checkup. I weighed in at 12 pounds and 13.5 ounces. I've been eating a lot of food so my weight gain should be good. The next weigh in is July 5th at U of M. Here's a pic of me sitting in my chair and eating. I'm not quite big enough yet, but I'll be eating there soon.
On Wednesday night Daddy and I went to Ann Arbor for Top of the Park again. We stopped at Dad's friend Claire's house first so I could eat. While Daddy was making my food I just sat on Claire's couch, check out the pic below. After I ate we went to see Stephen Kellog and The Sixers play with Claire and Kamau. We walked all around and listened to the music, it was fun.

On Thursday I hung out with Mommy and practiced crawling on a blanket. Right now I roll everywhere, but very soon I'll crawl, I just need to keep practicing. Here's a good pic from Thursday.

Mom worked Friday night so Dad and I just hung out at home. On Saturday Daddy went and got himself a permanant Father's Day present, see the picture below.

Sunday morning I was tired of sleeping alone so I pulled a stuffed animal into my crib. Mom and Dad are still confused how I got it, I won't tell them.

Mom had to work again Sunday night, so Dad and I hung out at home and walked all around the yard. We went to sleep early and I slept in until 9 am this morning!! I am a very good sleeper, I usually sleep 8 hours at night.

This week, Dad is taking me to Top of the Park again on Thursday and then we may go out to dinner on Friday with a bunch of Mommy's friends. I'll tell you all about it later. Bye, for now.
PS: I just had a good poop right before I wrote this. What is good about a poop you might ask...well, it was we call a sinker. Most of my poop is so full of fat that it floats, a sinker means I'm absorbing more of my food. We like sinkers around here.

Happy Dad's Day!!

Hello everyone, Happy Father's Day. I got Daddy a Finding Nemo card and Mom and I got him a new Dean Koontz book that he didn't even know was out yet so it was a good surprise. We are also making a turkey dinner for tonight. Mom has to work again, but she can have dinner with us right before she leaves. We hope to get my pool out again today too since it is supposed to be 90 degrees outside.

Friday night Daddy and I hung out at home all night. Dad had some friends over to grill out and have a campfire while I was sleeping. I didn't get to hang out at the fire, but I woke up at 11 pm to eat so Daddy and I looked out at the fire through the window while I had my bottle. I can't wait until I get to hang out at the fire and make s'mores!! Dad took this cute pic of me before I went to bed Friday.
Saturday was a busy day. Dad and I went grocery shopping for Luke food. We picked up some baby food that includes meat, Banana yogurt, vanilla custard, and more cereal. We also bought some cereal puffs, they are little cereal bits that dissolve in my mouth. I haven't tried them yet, but I'll let you know if I like them when I do.

Daddy took me into Ann Arbor Saturday night for Top of the Park which is part of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival. We saw a bad southern rock cover band, some of the lowlights included multiple Lynyrd Skynyrd songs, Play that funky music, The Beverly hillbillies theme, The Gilligan's Island theme, and a Cypress Hill song. Daddy may have seriously damaged my psyche by taking me to see that stuff at my age. Next thing you know he'll be buying me sleeveless 38 Special T-shirts. He tried to make up for it this morning by watching Son Volt's Austin City Limits show during my breathing treatment and breakfast.

That's all for now, I'll leave you with a couple old pics for Father's Day. The first one is Daddy and I when I was just 7 days old and the second one is when I was 11 days old. That seems like a lifetime ago...

Fun in the sun

Hello everyone, from sunny...Michigan? Yep, it has been warm and sunny all week here and we've been taking advantage of it. Last weekend we went to The Foodgatherers Grillin 2007 event. There was food, drinks, and live music by Back Forty...I didn't get any food or drinks. I did get to see my first concert which was a much bigger deal to Daddy than it was to me. A friend of Dad's plays drums in the band. Sunday was also my 6 month B-day. Here's a couple pics from Sunday. I'm even cute when I don't smile.

Mom and I kept busy this week by running errands and getting some shopping done. Then last night we got my pool out. Look Grandma Ann, it is Maize and Blue, just like my beloved Wolverines. I like to splash around and I was really interested in my floating toys. Mom and Dad went a little crazy taking pics so here are a few for you all to see.

Today was also my appointment at U of M, busy week. I weighed in at 12 pounds 8 ounces and I was 23 and 5/8 inches long. We have decided to up my enzymes to 3 pills per feeding. I have been eating cereal twice a day and then vegetables or fruits twice a day too. We are going to add some meat to my diet now. I have been showing very good weight gain, but I'm still below the curve so I need to pack on the pounds. My nutritionist said I can also have some yogurt and ice cream. Daddy tried to give me a taste of yogurt and I'm not sure I like it yet. I'll let you know how the ice cream turns out when the parents give me some. That's all I have for you today, I'll try to get back on here after this weekend. Mommy is working all weekend and Daddy and I have a lot of stuff to do. Goodbye everyone, I love you.

PS: Happy B-Day to Uncle Josh.

Welcome to the family

Hello to everyone. What a busy summer so far. I have been rolling all over the place, growing and practicing sitting up all on my own. Last week we traveled to upstate New York for Uncle Josh and Aunt Maria's wedding. We had a very nice visit with everyone. The wedding was beautiful and I now have a new Aunt. Here is a picture of me with Uncle Josh and Aunt Maria. I was pretty cranky at this point so don't mind the sour face.

The wedding reception was at a state park so daddy put me in the swing and I had a blast.

Here is a picture of me and Uncle Jason. He is learning how to play guitar so he sang me a few songs.

I've also included a picture of myself just lounging in a chair on the deck. Grandma and Grandpa Otteman rented a house for all of us in New York.

Nothing else is new at this time. Mommy and daddy take me to U of M next Thursday for my monthly appointment with my pulmonologist. I'm happy to report that I am eating my cereal twice a day and also a fruit or veggie twice a day. Hopefully this will mean a nice weight gain. Until next time.

Love,

Luke
