My 6th Birthday and Christmas 2012

Well, we made it another year.  It was exciting to ring in 2013 and be healthy!  I've actually been doing pretty well this winter considering all the nasty bugs going around.  We had a great Christmas and I hope you all did too.
Lets go back to November. We got a chance to visit with cousins Bayne and Clare at the farm. Sis and I helped cut some wood so cousin Bayne gave us tractor rides.

I visited the U of I again on the 28th for my 3 month check up.  I weighed 38.9lbs and was 3 feet 7 inches tall.  I have not gained weight in almost 2 years so Mommy and Daddy decided to ask my dietician for an appetite stimulant.  They felt that was a good idea and I will also be going back to feeding therapy in Feb.  If you remember, I went to feeding therapy for a while around the time I turned one.  I've been on the appetite stimulants for about a month and a half and we have not seen any results :(
November 29th was my Daddy's birthday.  Mommy made his favorite dinner and we got a cake and sang Happy Birthday!

That weekend, we went and got our Christmas tree.  A beautiful white pine.  Sis and I got to decorate it.

On December 4th, I went in for my first bronchoscopy.  I did great!  Dr. Ahrens said my lungs had a little more mucus than the average person but other than that, they looked great.  Here I am waking up from anesthesia.

I had my birthday party on December 8th at Jumpin' Janes in Dubuque.  My buds and I had a great time on the huge slides and bouncy houses.

Then it was time for pizza, presents and cake!

I posed with Grandma and Grandpa Eaton.
Grandpa Minnesota made the trip!
And Grandma and Grandpa Otteman.
On my actual birthday, Mommy and Daddy gave me their present.  A washer and dryer.  I've been asking for this for a year.  Mom and Dad used velcro to add timers to them.

We then had my birthday dinner at Red Robin.

Here we are making cookies for Santa.

On Christmas Eve, we decorated the cookies and had a great day with Grandma and Grandpa Eaton and Otteman.
We opened presents and had some food.
Grandma Kris finally got her cotton candy machine that she has wanted for a very long time.
That night, we put out cookies for Santa and Brynn said that reindeer eat carrots.  We put eight carrots out for the eight reindeer.
Christmas morning with our gifts.
I got a remote control car from Santa and Brynn got a cooking table.
Look at our new slippers.
We spent the day in our pajamas playing with our toys.
Now for a few random pictures.  Here I am in my fireman costume I got for Christmas.
My friend Ava and I.  She is 12 days older than I am!
Brynn got her new big girl bed. Oh, and she is finally fully potty trained!
Here are all my current meds. Hoping this pile will get smaller someday.
Brynn and I wearing Grandma Ann's Santa hats and glasses.
Our new I-pad minis.  Daddy squished our last I-pad in the power recliner :(
And finally, Brynn asleep at the dinner table.  She does this from time to time when she doesn't take a nap.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Love and hugs,

Luke William and Brynn Elyse
