December 2013

December is a huge and busy month for us.  We started off the month with getting our Christmas tree.  Here we are decorating our little tree.

Then for the big event.  MY 7th BIRTHDAY!!  We took 30 our of closest friends and family to The Wilderness Water Park in the Wisconsin Dells for an entire weekend of FUN!  Even my Philadelphia family made the trip! Here I am with cousin Marlee.

Lots of time hanging out in the water park.

My parents cooked a spaghetti dinner for everyone on Saturday night.  My favorite meal!

And here I am with my birthday cake.  Another favorite of mine. Chocolate cake with glaze frosting. Just like eating my favorite kind of doughnut.

Here is everyone singing happy birthday to me.

When we got home from the Dells, my birthday present was waiting for me in my bedroom.

I got a TV!!

Later that week, I got my tubes removed from my ears.  The doctor said they looked good and they would have me come back for a check up in 3 months.
On December 15th, we traveled to Mount Pleasant to take a steam train to the North Pole.

Here we are waiting to see Santa.

I told Santa that I wanted a coffee maker for Christmas.

Brynn told Santa she wanted a Minnie Mouse scooter and a white mouse that she could squeak. Santa came through and delivered everything that we asked for.

Mom helped us make some ornaments.

On December 18th, I had my 3 month check up at the University of Iowa.  I weighed 44lbs 8.5oz and was 3' 9" tall.  I have gained 4 lbs this year!!  Huge for me since I have not gained a pound in over 2 years. Again, my PFT's were great and my throat culture was negative.  My vitamin D levels are doing fine and they said they would see my in another 3 months.
Christmas Eve came super fast.  We had our family over for dinner, presents and cookie making.  Here we are decorating our cookies for Santa.

And here we are putting our cookies out for the man in red.

We took a Christmas Eve family photo.

The girls then had tea. Pinkies out :)

And the guys had beer. Bellies out ;)

We enjoyed 2 weeks at home for Christmas break.  We had a few nice days so we decided to build a snowman.

As we close out 2013, I want to wish everyone health and happiness in the new year!

Love and hugs,

Luke William and Brynn Elyse

October/November 2013

On October 5th, I started back to theater class.  Here I am outside of Theater Cedar Rapids.

We also visited Bloomsbury Farm on October 20th.  Brynn and I had tons of fun jumping on the huge inflatable pillow.

We also did some pumpkin bowling.

The ever popular tractor ride.

They even had some horse swings.

You have to sit in the large chair for a picture!

And I got to drive a go-cart.

Later that week, we carved our pumpkins that we got from Great Grandma and Grandpa's farm.

October 26th, we went to Kenley Unruh's birthday party.  She had a horse riding party.  Here I am riding a horse.

Brynn also got a turn. It was so much fun!

We had a really fun Halloween.  Here we are getting ready to go trick or treating.  I was a hot dog and Brynn decided to be Minnie Mouse again.

That following weekend, we visited Little Bear Park in Maquoketa with Grandpa and Grandma Otteman.  They showed us that they dedicated some wood planks to help build the new park.  My cousins and I have our names displayed.  Mom took a picture of me and of Brynn next to our names.  How cool!!

I will leave you with a picture of us and my Mom.

Love and hugs,

Luke William and Brynn Elyse

August/September 2013

Hello everyone!  I need to play a little catch up.  Things have been crazy in the Larson household, so here goes nothing.

August was a busy month with lots of trips and the start of a new school year.  On August 2nd, we traveled to the Mall of America.  We spent the weekend playing while Daddy went to Vikings football training camp.  We spent the whole weekend riding rides, eating at Rainforest Cafe and having fun.  We started off with breakfast at Cinnabon.  My favorite!!

Then it was off to ride some rides!

We also got to meet Spongebob and Patrick and also Dora and Boots.  Brynn talked about Boots moving her hair out of her face for MONTHS!

Grandma Kris came with us!

We also visited the Candy Shoppe and we each got a new stuffed animal.

August was a nice hot month, so we spent a lot of time in our pool with our neighbor friends.

The week Brynn started Preschool and I started 1st grade, Mom and Dad were in Kauai.  I don't have any pictures from our first day of school because they were gone but here is a picture of Mom and Dad in Kauai celebrating 18 years of being together.

On August 31st, we celebrated Grandma Kris's 60th birthday.  I helped her blow out her candles.

On September 12th, I had my check up at the University of Iowa.  I weighed 43lbs and 13.9oz. I was also 3'9" tall.  My PFT's were great and I had some lab work done.  My Vitamin D level was a little low so they started me on a Vitamin D supplement in addition to my ADEK.

Also in September, we visited the farm to pick pumpkins and squash.  We met up with some of my cousins and Great Grandpa took us out to the pumpkin patch in the wagon.

Here I am with my pumpkin.

And here is Brynn's.

Here is our group with everything we picked in the patch.

Love and hugs to everyone,

Luke William and Brynn Elyse
