Easter and Great Strides 2013

Hello friends and family! Lots to say since my last post so let's get to it!  March 31st was Easter.  Here we are prepping for the big bunny by dying our eggs the day before.

We also went to Pecks Garden Center looking for some pots for some new plants when we ran into an Easter egg hunt. They had eggs all around the store and animals in the garden center. Brynn loved the chicks and I had a chat with the Easter bunny.

On Easter morning, we awoke to some great stuff in our baskets and then we headed downstairs for the big egg hunt.

Great Aunt Glenda arrived on April 4th.  She got to see Brynn in action at gymnastics and then she came and had lunch with me at school on Friday. It was a great visit and we were so happy to have her in our home :)

I continued to have theater class throughout the month of April.  So much fun!  Here I am before going in to class in my aviator shades.

We had some bad storms for a few days and this is what happened to our trampoline :(  My Mom said it looked like we had a giant taco in our yard.

Mom and Brynn went and checked out a Lutheran Church service near our house with the Unruh's.  Here are the pretty church girls Kenley and Brynn.

Daddy and Grandpa Otteman took me to St. Louis to a Will Kimbrough house concert.  Here I am with Will.  He even dedicated my favorite song "Wings" to me.

And the next day Dad let me go swimming in the hotel pool.

When I got home, I played Will Kimbrough videos on my computer and played my harmonica and sang in my microphone to the his music.

On May 4th we had my Great Strides walk in Iowa City.  It was so nice to have so many friends and family join us! Here are a few pics from the day. Also, a huge thank you to all of you that donated.

Sometimes we like to go to Theisens and look at the ducks and chicks and maybe get some free popcorn. They are so cute!

At school all the classrooms got eggs to hatch. We had 12 eggs and 8 of them hatched.  We all voted on what to name each chick and one of them was Larson Skywalker.  Here I am holding the little guy.

It has finally been nice outside so we have been going to the park. Here I am with my sister at Liniger Park near our house.

For Memorial Day, we had the Unruhs and Petersens over for lunch. Even though it was raining, we grilled out for lunch and did lots of playing in the basement.

I finished my last day of kindergarten on May 28th.  It was a great last day and I was ready to start my summer vacation.  But first, I needed to have some extra teeth pulled :(  May 29th, I went to St. Lukes hospital and Dr. Sarasin gave me some sleepy medicine and took the extra teeth out of the top of my mouth.  I had a few stitches and some tape burn on my chin but I came through great!  Here I am before surgery.

I was not happy for a while but by that evening I was eating and talking just fine. Mom and Dad made me lots of soft foods.
I am doing swimming lessons at the local exercise club and I will start summer school at the end of June.  Looking forward to lots of swim and park time this summer and maybe a few camping adventures.  Stay tuned :)
